So what do you do with all the scraps from the bierocks? Well you make Green Chili Cheese Loaves of course!
Gather all your scraps and knead together. Let rise again until fluffy. I cheat by putting it in a covered container in the microwave and nuke it for 20 seconds. Let it hang out in the microwave for about 10 minutes and check before using a second nuking if needed.
Roll out the dough and sprinkle cheese and left over green chili peppers. Don't be skimpy!
Roll up like a cinnamon roll.
Slice into approximately 4 inch pieces.
Then set each piece on a cut end and pull down the layers like a flower.
Let rise and bake.
Tadah!

You have the touch when it comes to that alchemy that is baking. Personally I think it is some kind of witchcraft. Yeasty things frighten me.
Oh my gosh, wishing I could reach through the screen and try one of those. They sound delish and are a work of art!

I'm going to try making these for my son's college graduation this Saturday. I'm a little cook ignorant ... what is "bierock" and how do I make it just for these delicious looking rolls?

Lisa - A bierock is a popular food in the Midwest, especially in KS & NE. It is a pocket of bread with meat & cabbage or whatever your heart desires inside. I have a post on it. I can't send u a link at the moment but u can find it shortly before this one. These rolls were made using left over dough. You can simply use frozen bread dough such a Rhodes premade dough found in the frozen isle at the grocery store.
